Cynthia Davis grew up loving all things great and small in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky in the heart of Appalachia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of the Cumberlands in 2004 before perusing her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2009, proudly carrying her Auburn spirit with her ever since – War Eagle!

After graduating, Dr Davis spent 10 years practicing as an associate veterinarian in Florence, South Carolina before purchasing Tram Road Animal Hospital in 2019. Owning her own practice has allowed her to combine her passion for veterinary medicine with her commitment to providing personalized care to the pets and families in her community. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and geriatric care. Keeping the human animal bond intact and preserving comfort and longevity in our furry family.

She also enjoys client education and community outreach. In 2020, she founded Spay Day, which is a low cost spay neuter event used to reduce the feral cat population in Sampson County. She also enjoys sponsoring little league sports teams every year.

Outside the hospital, Doc enjoys life on her hobby far with her husband, Matthew, who she met while attending vet school, and their 3 children. Their family is rounded out by 4 dogs, 2 cats, a pot-bellied pig, and a flock of chickens and ducks. Needless to say, animals are a big part of life both at work and at home.

When she isn’t caring for patients or tending to the farm, Doc loves being active in her home church, The Vine Fellowship, reading a good book, and traveling the world with her family. She believes some of life’s greatest memories are made through new experiences, exciting adventures, and discovering new places together. For her, adventure is always better when shared with family!
