Our in-house lab lets us run many of the tests your pet needs while they are here—often the same day, and around the clock when a case can’t wait. That means faster answers for both outpatient visits and hospitalized patients.Tests we can run in the hospital include:
- Bloodwork (complete blood counts and chemistry panels)
- Urinalysis
- Fecal exams (hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms, and roundworms)
- Heartworm testing
- Viral testing
- Skin scrapes
- Ear, skin, and mass cytology
Outside laboratory
For some diagnostics we send samples to a trusted outside lab, which can return results quickly. Those tests include:
- Bacterial and fungal cultures (urine and skin)
- Comprehensive thyroid panels
- Tick panels
- Vaccine titers
- Additional cytology and histopathology
